Laundry Day

Watering the Garden

Since it was in the 90s today, we watered Ben and the garden together this afternoon.

Our squash doesn't look as good as the cucumbers. I don't think they are getting enough water using the sprinkler. I'm going to try moving the sprinkler around (I always put it in the same place in the middle of the garden) and see if that helps the squash.

Hotel

We stayed in a hotel Saturday night. Ben tried out the bed immediately. He didn't remember staying in a hotel before so it felt like a completely new experience to him. He really couldn't figure out why we were spending the night there.

While Ben tested the bed, Mollie checked out the drawers. She liked opening and closing them.

After fighting it as hard as he could, Ben FINALLY fell asleep at nap time.

Mollie had no problem snoozing in her pack-n-play.

Biloxi

This weekend was the Truck Driving Championship, which John has to attend to support his drivers that compete. In past years, it's been in Tupelo and we've enjoyed visiting old friends. This year, it was in Biloxi, though. We spent a couple of hours at the TDC, where Ben used his first port-a-potty. He said it was the WORST bathroom.

After being at the TDC (which was held in a big parking lot) for a few minutes, Ben looked around and said, "Where is the beach?" We finally made it to the beach after lunch. This was Mollie's first time on the beach. She was pretty tired by then and wasn't very excited about it.

Ben played in the sand for a while and was hesitant about getting in the water. He finally did and had fun; however, Mollie and I were parked under a tent (belonging to another FedEx employee) by then and I didn't want to disturb her by going to get my camera.

Leaving the beach wrapped in his new towel from Nana. He said it kept him from getting cold.

Picnic

John wasn't able to come home for lunch today so we grabbed some food out of the frig and headed to the backyard for a picnic.
