Baaaa

What does the lamb say? Ben can tell you.

The Long Journey

Ben is very mobile now. He crawls all over the house. He's headed down the hallway in this pic that I took earlier in the week.

Up, Up, Up

Ben pulled up all the way to standing by himself for the first time today. He wanted to get No No Noah off the top shelf of his bookcase.

"Cat" Love

Ben loves the puppy that MawMaw Wilma made him for Christmas. However, he insists that it is a cat. John taught him to say, "pup," but he continually calls puppy "cat." I say, "Pup" and he looks right back at me and says, "cat." It's an ongoing battle. Actually he's confused about all dogs. Friday when he visited Nana and Grandaddy he called Jake and Susie cats and all the dogs we pass when we walk in the neighborhood are cats.

The Second Shelf

Ben can now reach the books on the middle shelf. We went to the library today. After I had chosen some books for myself, I got him out of his stroller and let him crawl around in the children's section. He pulled the books off a couple of shelves, but I expected him too since that is his favorite game at home. I put them all back in their places alphabetically before we left.

Row Row Row

Here is a clip of Ben "singing." This morning while looking at his Old McDonald Had a Farm book, he repeated, "row, row, row" over and over again. I think he was singing, since that is a singing book. I handed him a book to look at in this clip because he kept trying to crawl off the bed while I filmed him.

Original Artwork

We've been playing with crayons for a couple of weeks, but Ben just discovered today that he can scribble. He's mainly enjoyed taking them out of the box and throwing them around.

It's amazing how much he learns every day. His vocabulary is constantly increasing. He's added cat (tat) and pup. This morning I was singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat. Now he says, row, row, row.

The Things You Can Do

Ben is finally crawling. He has crawled under the dining room table to get a toy in this picture. Notice that he's wearing pajamas and a cap. He LOVES his "hat, hat, hat."

Swingin'

John, Ben, and I walked to the church and played on the swings and slide this afternoon. It was a beautiful day here. It was supposed to be 80 degrees.

Pics

Frustrated because he can't get up and walk around by himself.

Taking all the toys out of his toy basket. He had already cleaned all the books off the bottom shelf of his bookcase.

March Madness

This is what we woke up to Sunday, March 1, our only snow this winter.
