Ben
I noticed yesterday that most of the pictures I uploaded were of the girls. Last night I intentionally took a picture of Ben helping Annie find our Jesse tree reading in the Bible.

December Week 3
We are now in the third week of December. Christmas is Sunday. On Monday Mollie Grace had horseriding lessons. A couple of months ago, Gus (the horse Mollie Grace normally rides) foundered and we thought he would have to be put down. However, after a day or two the pain lessened and Mrs. Joyce decided he would live but probably never be ridden again. We were shocked Monday morning when Mrs. Joyce brought him out the stall for Mollie Grace to ride! After horse riding and soccer training session at NOW, we visited Santa at Cabellas. Ben barely fit into the Santa sweater that he's been wearing since 2018. Throughout the month, we've done our traditional Jesse Tree advent readings and this week John has been reading The Best Christmas Pageant Ever before bed. Today we watched Christmas movies and the girls baked and decorated a Christmas cake. Currently it is raining and behind the rain is extreme cold weather. The low tomorrow is supposed to be 7!
December Week 2
The second week in December was pretty busy too. On Sunday the choirs performed one song from the cantata during the worship service. After lunch, Mollie Grace and I went to the Christmas party at B&W Stables and then hurried home to change and get to church for the cantata. Tuesday the girls had 4-H Sewing Club where they made felt ornaments. Wednesday Ben and Mollie Grace attended the Youth Christmas Party at church. There was a prize for "best dressed." Best dressed is totally subject to what Nathan decides it means on the night of the party. Both Ben and Mollie Grace had plans for their outfit. Ben wore his green thrift store suit with Christmas accessories while I helped form Mollie Grace's hair into a Christmas tree using a 2-liter bottle. MG tied for first place with the 7 headed dragon from Revelation and Grandma (who got run over by a reindeer). Ben got runner-up. I got the Christmas cards in the mail with Annie's help sealing them and putting on stamps. John and Mollie Grace spent Friday night at the hunting camp with Nana and Grandaddy. While they were gone, Annie and I did her Christmas shopping and wrapped some gifts to put under the tree.
December Week 1
The first week of December was extremely busy. It felt like everyone said Christmas is such a busy time let's do our party early. That meant ALL the events were the first week of December. Tuesday night Ben had an end of season soccer party. On Wednesday we had our Foundations Memory Work Review Party, Challenge Christmas party, and Children's Ministry party. Thursday night we missed the deacons and elders Christmas dinner because John had a cookout at work. Friday morning the girls and I attended The Nutcracker. Friday night John and I had dinner with a group from church while Mollie Grace had cantata practice. Saturday MG had the first of the AWTA series of shows. The girls also found time to have a "fancy" lunch and add more decorations to the house. While digging through the boxes of decorations Mollie Grace found years of Santa pics. We strung ribbon over the dining room windows and clipped the Santa pictures to it. I really love seeing how they have grown over the years. We also find the repeating of outfits and Nana's applique Santas and reindeer over the years very funny.
