After Christmas

 Wednesday Mollie Grace had one more present waiting for her when she arrived home.  This picture was in her stocking but it was just too big to travel.

Christmas at the Elders

After breakfast we drove to Nana and Grandaddy's house, stopping for our traditional truck stop Arby's Christmas lunch.  We opened presents, ate supper, sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and the kids performed a Nativity play.  John had to return home to work Wednesday and Jim spent the night at the hunting camp.  The kids spent the morning playing and then we headed home.

 Stockings

 Ben got lots of bubble gum in his stocking since he can finally chew gum after 14 months in braces.

 Ben asked for this hoodie but it was out of stock until a day or two before Christmas.  It is ordered and will be shipped directly to our house. Grandadddy wrote a poem about the hoodie.

 The gifts they asked Santa for -- a Chromebook for Ben, a Luvabella doll for Annie, and an American Girl horse for Mollie Grace.

 Everyone had a surprise gift too.  A Hatchimal for Annie.  She's been wanting one for at least a year, doll riding clothes for Mollie Grace, and an Echo Dot for Ben.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at MawMaw Wilma and PawPaw Sherman's house.  Food, great-grandkid picture, gifts, and fireworks.  Always in that order.

Lauren put together this comparison of 2009, 2013, and 2018.

 Ben and I bought 120 bottle rockets, 144 sparklers, 30 Roman candles, and one big finale firework.  There were no fireworks left.
