Halloween

We had a hard time choosing our costume theme this year, but The Flinstones ended up turning out good.  All of our costumes pieces are re-purposed, thrifted, or crafted.  We got ONE picture taken outside before it started to rain.  We still trick or treated with friends, just under umbrellas.  We didn't go all the way around the block like we normally do.  The rain started to get heavier about halfway down the street so we turned back.  However, they still got plenty of candy because people were giving out handfuls since it was raining.

 

 

October Week 5

I joined Mollie Grace’s Tuesday morning horse riding group for a trail ride.

The rest of the pics are all from Wednesday.  Our CC group met at a different church than usual because our usual church has a big Halloween event and they were setting up.  Friday night was our Fall Festival at our church.  There is not a picture, but John and I wore our Fred and Wilma costumes, while girls were Tonks and an Oompha Loompha.  Ben did not dress up.

 

October Week 4

The fourth week of October was busy.  We had character dress up day at CC.  Only Ben wore his Halloween costume.  I wore my Velma costume from last year.  Annie was Tonks from Harry Potter.  Mollie Grace was an Oompha Loompha from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  My classroom got rearranged at the church where we meet so now we're sitting on couches.  We'll see how that goes.  Ben had a soccer game Thursday night and two on Saturday.  Friday we went to a play, Descendents, with friends and then ate lunch at Mellow Mushroom.  We froze at soccer last week and then were hot Saturday.  I think Annie got about 100 new freckles.

Annie's Birthday Celebrations

Annie planned her traditional birthday tea party on her actual birthday and then we celebrated again as a family on Saturday evening.  She requested steak, twice-baked potatoes, and brussels sprouts for supper.  Annie baked and decorated cakes for both parties.
