Rhyming Words

Rhyming Words

A poem by Annie

September

It doesn't feel like we've done much in September.  Mainly it's been school work and soccer.  Starting in September,  I am Annie's Sunday School teacher.  She drew this picture of our family in Sunday School.  Ben created a timeline of space exploration for CC.  Mollie Grace is doing a fall garden project for 4-H growing plants in three 5-gallon buckets. We went on a farm field trip where they petted animals, played in the creek, and we had a picnic.  Ben is refereeing again this fall.  He's pictured with his friends Quinn and Rhett.  Last Friday they worked a couple of younger PDP (not rec) games where Quinn was the main referee and Rhett and Ben were the line judges.  The kids dressed me up in Sunday School when we learned about Jacob "dressing up" as Esau.  Wednesday was "Toga Day" at CC.  And Saturday John and the kids took their final swim in the pool for 2021.  (I was wearing a sweater and jeans when I took this pic.)  I plan to winterize the pool next week.

The End of August

The girls' first day of CC was August 18.  Annie started Ballet 2 and Ballet 3 the following week.  Annie is the youngest dancer in the Ballet 3 class.  Our first week of CC was obviously a COVID superspreader event because 18 families had COVID the following week and Foundations/Essentials were not able to meet.  My class met in the fellowship hall so that we could spread out more.  Annie spent the day hanging out under my table.  On John's birthday, he took his car to a local car show.  There is also a picture of Ptolemy's geocentric model (the Earth is the center of the universe) that Ben printed for CC.  His class is studying the history of Astronomy.
