And they all fall down

Ben likes playing with his blocks. I stack them and he knocks them down.

Vrooommmm

After I got Ben cleaned up from him fall in the puddle, we went for a ride around the neighborhood in his wagon. Some neighbors stopped us and asked if Ben would like to have this Cozy Coupe. Their grandchildren had outgrown it. They said the youngest, who is 7, recently stuffed himself in it. They realized it was time for it to go when they nearly had to cut him out of it.

Ben loves his new car. His hand is a blur in this picture because he turns the steering wheel round and round.

Ben cried when I carried him in the house. He didn't want to quit driving.

Slip and Slide

Ben slipped in a puddle in the carport.

Nice to meet you Buck

John wanted Ben to notice his buck so he held him up in the air face to face with the deer. We'll see if Ben remembers the "buck, buck, buck" next time we come in this room.

Ear Wax?

Ben discovered the Q-tips and knew exactly what to do with them. And yes, I took the Q-tip away from him after I took the picture and put them all on a higher shelf.

Cat Hat

Ben thinks putting Cat on his head is so funny. I always say, "Ben has a cat hat." Sometimes he puts it on my head so that I can have a cat hat.

Saturday Afternoon Fun

No playing in the water Saturday. The highs this weekend were in the mid-80s so it was actually pleasant to play outside.

John and Ben took a very slow ride on the four-wheeler. Ben loved it: "ride, ride, ride."

Neeze

Ben loves to help as I've said before. When he sees the vacuum, he says, "Neeze" -- translated "noise" -- and wants to do it. I try handing him extention pieces, but he knows the piece he really wants: the one Mama has.

Black and Blue

Thankfully, Ben's bruise really doesn't look too bad today. I was afraid his whole cheek was going to be black and blue, but really it's just two little spots.

More Water Fun

Ben's attitude about being sprayed with water has really changed since the beginning of summer. This afternoon I got out another Elmo water toy, a sprinkler. He got right in the spray, sat down, and let it spray him in the face. He kept opening his mouth wide. We think he was trying to catch the water in his mouth.

As we were heading in the house after playing in the water, Ben fell and hit his cheek on the steps. He has a pretty good bruise, but he didn't cry but for just a minute.

At Home

Ben just looked so cute yesterday evening out on the porch in his white shirt and khaki shorts that I grabbed my camera to try to get a good pic. He's not really smiling in any of the pictures I took.

I had just watered my ferns and Ben crawled through the water draining from them. Then he seemed surprised that his hand was covered with mud. I stopped him just before he took care of the mud by licking it off.

Celebrating the 4th

I don't have any pictures of Ben from the 4th of July. He was at my parents' house while we spent the weekend at the Barnett's in St. Joe. Ben did have a flag shirt, which Mama said he wore. Here is a pic of all of us at the Lake Saturday.
