A Week

We've still been busy this week cleaning and getting our house ready to sell.  On Thursday the realtor came and looked at our house.  Hopefully it will be officially on the market by the end of next week.  

 We've had beautiful weather.  While I've cleaned, Ben and Mollie have tried to see how dirty they can get.

 Annie likes to go up and down the steps of the playhouse.  She's learned how to crawl down them backwards.

 My sink has never been this clean!  There was a brown mark in the bottom of the sink when we bought it that I thought was scratch.  A lot of bleach later, it turns out that it was just a stain.

 This is why my kitchen never stays clean.  After I had worked and worked to clean the kitchen, I let Ben and Mollie make pancakes using the recipe on the back of a Curious George book.  Notice the broken egg on the floor below Ben.

 They haven't just made messes.  They've helped clean, too.

 One day they wanted to put on a show.  My performance was reading Wynken, Blynken, and Nod.  Ben is acting out a scene from Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree.  Ben is Christopher Robin.

 Mollie made up her own princess show.

 Fran, MV, and Janey stopped by on their way to Jackson for Spring Break.  Ben and MV investigated some old ant beds.

 Today was Ben's last soccer game of the spring season.

Notice #10 guarding Ben (#5).  That's our neighbor Sam.  When their teams play each other they are determined to keep the other from scoring.

Our dryer stopped heating last night and I had two loads of clothes that HAD to be washed and dried.  Sam's mom let me dry them at their house.  It had started to rain when I went to get the last load and I couldn't let me freshly dry clothes get wet.

Writing and Drawing

Ben and Mollie Grace both love Winnie the Pooh audiobook.  Ben decided to write and illustrate his own Pooh story, which involves a race of course.  Ben told me the story and I typed it.

During all my cleaning, I found this picture Mollie drew of Ben.  Water spilled on another picture and marker bled through on it, but I loved how Mollie drew Ben so I scanned it anyway.

Cleaning and Decluttering

Mama asked if I had quit blogging.  It has been a LONG time since my last post.  We are moving and have been very busy getting our house ready to list with a realtor. We've been decluttering and cleaning.  We moved a lot of bigger toys, several boxes of books, and other things to a storage unit. 

 We've had a lot of rain lately, but we've tried to take advantage of the few warm sunny days and get outside and play.

 I convinced Ben that it was time to part with his pumpkin from Halloween.

 We tried out the new McDonald's that has a great Play Place.

 John was in Memphis when they got a lot of snow.  Thankfully we just got some colder temps and rain.

 We bought a used travel trailer.  You can see Ben and Mollie peeking through the window from the top bunk.

 Neither of them are thrilled with the idea of sleeping on the top bunk.  We'll see who's brave enough to do it first.  We put a rail on the bottom bunk because we plan for Annie to sleep there.  We may have to put a rail on the top bunk too.

 The couch pulls out to make a bed so whoever doesn't take the top bunk will sleep there.

There is a partition that can be pulled in front of the bedroom for more privacy.

 Obviously the bathroom.  Mollie was appalled by the toilet.

We've been using Annie's room to pile up everything that was going to storage.  Since Mollie hasn't slept in there for several months, we took down her bed.  The room looks much larger with just a crib.

 I used the wagon to haul all the stuff out to my car.  Annie would follow me out to the car and catch a ride back inside.

 The rocking chair has been in my room since Annie was born.  We've really enjoyed having it back in her room and sitting in it to read before bedtime.

 We hauled three loads over to the storage shed over a few days.  (Mollie has been choosing her own outfits on days that we aren't going anywhere.)

 Annie's room all cleaned up.  I just need to get some ribbon to tie back her curtains.
