A Week in May

Monday was Ben's last full day of school so John took him in the Corvette.

Mollie Grace had horse riding lessons Monday morning.  She did a great job cantering with Olivia.  Afterwards, she and Olivia washed their ponies.

Last day of 5th grade.  Technically Wednesday and Thursday were half days but Ben chose not to go.

Tuesday morning Ben and John took a final look at the black Corvette because a hauler was coming to take it to the new owner in New York.

Elementary awards day at NCS.  The tiny blue figure on the stage is Ben receiving an athlete with a good academic record.

Ben is 4th from the right.

I zoomed more this time.  Ben is receiving his certificate for Honor Roll this year.  That's all As.

Ben is on the far left.  Nineteen students in his class of 60 something made all As.

After Honors Day, Mollie Grace and Annie played with their friends Lucy Kate and Emmeline.  Mollie Grace is showing off how dirty she is after sliding down the hill.

Lots more room in the garage.  The car has legally belonged to the man in New York for a week and has been sitting in our garage waiting for the transport company to arrive.  I've been so nervous all week as I've moved bikes past it.

 Selfie with Annie.

Annie put on show with her ponies and Hatchimal.

Wednesday we went to the Children's Museum with our friends the Mayfields.

 Ben helping Archer shop.

 Cleaning Addy's teeth.

 Climbing with Ava.

 Dance, dance, dance.

I was cleaning off the school table today and decided to take pictures of some of Annie's recent art to save it.

 The world.  Notice the continents.

 Mailing a letter to Emmeline.

Tonight was Annie's soccer awards program.

May Madness

This has been a busy fun week.  Ben had Field Day at school Monday (postponed for Thursday because of rain).  Monday night Annie had a soccer game (postponed from Saturday also because of rain).  Wednesday I told the girls we could go to the children's museum, then I looked at the field trip schedule for that day.  They had 468 kids scheduled.  We went to the park instead.  Wednesday night was the final Wednesday night for church until August.  The ladies had a sip n see to honor a new mom.  Thursday Ben had his end of year class party while the girls stayed with CC friends.  Friday, we made the promised trip to the children's museum.  Must better day to be at the children's museum.  Two buses were pulling away when we arrived and only about 30 people were still there.
Today Annie had her final soccer game and John had a car show at work to benefit FedEx House.

Ben is not a sack race expert.  He fell out of his sack 3 or 4 times.

Ben's class won several pulls but were eventually defeated.

Celebrating a win with his friend Will.

Obstacle course.  Ben is coming down the slide on the right.

Annie's soccer pictures are MUCH cuter this year.  Last year her mouth is wide open.

Backyard fun and a long bubble bath Tuesday evening.

Making fruit kabobs for the sip-n-see on Wednesday.

The very cool pool Ben's class went to for their party.  It was about an hour's drive and is in someone's back yard. (Not a classmate.  The owner rents it out for groups.)

Ben spent most of his day wrestling on the raft.  Since he's about 40 pounds lighter than most of his classmates, he went in a lot.

 Jumping off the diving board.

 Still wrestling.

Class pic.  Ben is behind the water fall.

 Mollie Grace loves monkey bars.

Friday was Marcie's first birthday.  The girls made homemade dog treats.  Mollie Grace ate several and says they're pretty good.

Wearing her birthday dress from Annie and an American Girl party hat.

Eating one of her birthday treats.

They played the Fighting Okra.  Both teams in green so you couldn't yell, "Go green!"

 Lil Dragon roar.

 Hugs for the coach.
