Trick or Treat

It's supposed to storm tonight so our neighborhood chose to Trick or Treat last night.  This stressed me out because Annie had a soccer game at 6.  So Mollie, Ben and I got into our costumes before the soccer game.

"I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too!"

 Mythbusters -- Jamie and Adam

I forgot to put my glasses on for this pic.  According to Ben, a famous Mythbuster's quote is, "Failure is ALWAYS an option" so there you go.

 Ready to defend.

And now quickly into Dorothy to trick or treat.

 Dorothy and Toto.

Yep, we took Marcy trick or treating with us.

Ben said it was a successful night because all of our candy was gone.

Black and Orange CC

This is very much a picture of mine and Annie's day at CC.

Black and orange and wacky hair dress up day.

Sword fighting and karate moves while we sung about Japanese shoguns. (I skipped the wacky hair.)

Annie demonstrated a lava lamp experiment for presentation.

 Dissecting owl pellets for science.

These are all the bones they found including a few mice skulls.

Tin whistle.

Cedar Hill Farms

This year we wanted to wait for fall weather to go to Cedar Hill Farms and we almost ran our time.  The weather last week was cold and wet, but it was a beautiful day on Monday.

 Cheering for the pig races.

Hay ride.

DETERMINED to make it through the maze.

 We did it!

Annie made this salad for us to eat.

Going down the big slide by herself was a BIG deal.

Fall Festival

Sunday night was our church's annual fall festival.  We have a chili cook-off, bonfire, bouncy houses, and hayride.

You are looking at the champion chili in progress.  Ben made an Asian Ground Pork Chili that won first place.  He wasn't actually at the fall festival.  He dropped off his chili and then went to a party at one of his classmate's house.

Annie rode the hayride every round it made.

FedEx Family Picnic

This afternoon we went to the zoo for the FedEx Freight Family Picnic. We spent a couple of hours looking around the zoo and then ate burgers with the FedEx Freight employees. The kids were very excited about showing John all their favorite things at the zoo.

Annie Soccer

Annie played hard at soccer today.  She scored her first goal.

Annie was the only girl on her team today.  She got knocked down a couple of times but got up and kept playing hard.

Headed to the goal.

Celebrating with her coach after she scored.

They lost 4-3.
