First Half of July

Last Friday we joined our friends Joan and Jennai for supper and a performance of Mary Poppins at the Princess.  It was an amazing production.  The girls baked cookies one afternoon.  They used sprinkles and food coloring to make them fancy. Wednesday we met friends at a local splash pad.  Yesterday we went caving with the Challenge classes.  Mollie Grace and Annie got to tag along.  It's hard to take pictures in a cave.  It's dark except for flashlights and you get a lot of blurry motion.  Ben is wearing a red shirt and grey cap, Mollie Grace is in yellow, and Annie is wearing tie dye.  Mollie Grace managed to get the dirtiest of everyone!

Topsail complete

On Friday afternoon we drove to some condos about 30 minutes away to visit with Ronnie and Kristi.  Ronnie was John's KA little brother and in our wedding but we hadn't seen them in 13 years.  They are still the same. Our great week at the beach ended with a blowout on the trailer on the way home.  Thankfully it was on the grass side of the interstate because people do NOT get over.

More Topsail

Jim and Fran weren't able to camp with us this year but Fran and the girls came to visit Wednesday and they all spent the day with us Saturday.  Janey caught a bunch of little fish.  We made our usual bike ride to Flower Nose Lake (Campbell Lake) Thursday evening.

Topsail

We spent the last few days of June and the beginning of July at Topsail. We had good weather and yellow flags most days.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights we had to be back to our trailer by 6 p.m. to watch the Bulldogs play in the College World Series.  Mollie Grace was the most interested and stayed up until nearly midnight Tuesday night with John and me.  The picture of the half circle of light is Mollie Grace's bike tires.  She got lights to put on the wheels for her birthday.  There is a picture of a squirrel that I made the bad decision of giving a cashew.
