March Week 3

Ben's class began dissection in Biology.  Week one -- earth worms.  One of Mollie Grace's newest chickens laid her first egg.  It's very small.  Even smaller than Henle's and hers are smaller than store-bought eggs.  John went to Jackson for Big Will's mom's funeral and stayed to turkey hunt with Grandaddy.  David was at the funeral, too.  Since John was out of town the girls made crazy waffles and invited Brantley to come for supper.  

Protocol

The North Alabama CC Protocol was March 16 at Stovehouse in Huntsville. After the formal, Ben's class went to Buc-cee's and Waffle House.  We got home at 1 a.m.

 

March Week 2

Annie began play practice for MidSummer Night's Dream.  She is a flower fairy.  She had stuffed animal story time and read a children's version of MidSummer Night's Dream.  It was Spring Break for Decatur City School, which doesn't affect us except our church follows their calendar.  Since we didn't have church Wednesday night, the youth group painted the youth room Wednesday and Thursday.  Mollie Grace went on a youth trip to Roots.  It had originally been scheduled for the weekend after the ice.  Ben was not able to go on the rescheduled trip because of Protocol.

 

March Week 1

We made a quick trip to Louisiana to celebrate PawPaw Sherman's 90th birthday at Magnolia Baptist Church.  Lots of friends and family attended, including Wendy. We also spent a night in Jackson.  The girls dyed Easter eggs with Nana.  They got really fancy adding glitter.

 

February Part 2

The girls made pajama pants at 4-H Sewing Club.  We attended a production of Peter Pan that numerous friends were in.  Decades dress up day at CC. Even Henry (the stuffed Highland cow) dressed up. Mollie Grace's class changed into waiter clothes and served at the Protocol practice luncheon at CC.

 

February Part 1

February pictures are filled with randomness.  Ben had a debate at CC and a rainy, cold soccer game. He refed his first soccer game as a certified referee. Both he and Mollie Grace continued to attend dance class.  Mollie Grace made Ashlyn a unicorn out of socks for her birthday. Annie diagrammed a very complicated sentence.

 

Science Fair

Mollie Grace's class had Science Fair the last week of January.  She tested the strength of several types of thread.

January Week 4

We had to cancel CC the second week back so we went both Monday and Wednesday the following week to make up the week.  We didn't want to give up our Spring Break in March.  Mollie Grace did a second round of experiments for her science fair project. Ben and Mollie Grace attended a ballroom dancing class to prepare for Protocol.
