Protocol

Last Saturday night our CC Community participated in Protocol.  Each Challenge I-V class is supposed to participate in a formal event.  It can be going out to eat at a nice restaurant, going to a play or the symphony.  In our area, the various communities work together to have something equivalent to prom.  There is a formal meal and then dancing.  After the event ended they convinced a set of parents to take them to Buc-cees and Waffle House in their massive homeschool van.  

Mid March

Another ice cream trip after CC. This time without costumes. Making pot holders at Sewing Club.  Annie mailed hers to Cara for her birthday. I finally got tired of all the gray hair, went to the store, bought hair color and applied it.  This is the before picture. I couldn't get a decent after picture but you can probably see the difference in other pictures of me.  I obviously have some stubbornly gray hairs because it didn't cover perfectly.

 

March Begins

 We began March by attending Madagascar Jr with the Olivers.  It was Wes' first play.   The next morning, we were taking shelter in the closet under our stairs as 80 mile an hour winds whipped through with a heavy thunderstorm.  The only damage we had was our cable line knocked down and about a million sticks and pinecones in our yard.  Mollie Grace got her braces put on.  We had Hat Day at school. Annie's Ballet 3 class got to try on their recital costumes. And Annie wrote a poem.

End of February

Aunt Connie, MawMaw and Ella Kate visited us while they were on Winter Break.  We made our first trip to the new Buc-cees.  After the left, Ben and Annie quickly finished the puzzle we had been working on.  Mollie Grace began the process of getting braces.  We attended the Young People's Concert with CC friends. And Annie wrote some jokes and submitted them to Clubhouse Magazine.

 

Mid February

The girls decorated Valentine's Day cookies at Cooking Club.  Annie built a fairy house.

 

Homeschool Skate

We finished out the week with homeschool skate and no one broke any bones.
