May Week 1

And now it's May.  The girls have played with Raylea for hours.  Friday night Mollie Grace went to Teen Dance night.  The theme was 50s. Annie went to Hannah's birthday party.  They watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, which Annie loved.  Ben has been refereeing a lot. Wednesday was the last night of church for the spring so we had a slide.  It was supposed to be a water slide, but because it was not a warm day, it was just a slide.

 

Talladega and Cheaha

We left straight from the EOY program to meet John and Ben at Cheaha. On Saturday, our tickets were much lower than usual right near the track. You could feel the wind off the cars and sometimes track dust blew in your eyes.  It was pretty cool, though.  On Sunday, John and Ben listened to Coach Joe Gibbs share the gospel before the race.

CC End of Year Program

The last Friday in April was out End of Year program for CC.  Mollie Grace's class presented their Adopt-An-Element projects.  MG's element was helium. She cut one of her balloons, sucked in the air, and finished her presentation with a squeaky helium voice.  Annie received awards for Memory Master and Scripture Master.  The Essentials students changed into their Faces of History costumes for a character parade.  My class read a poem about Challenge III.  Ben was not there.  He and John left for Cheaha after lunch.

 

April Week 4

The last week of April, was our last week of CC for the semester.  Challenge III read original poems aloud to an audience. We celebrated Andrew, who is graduating this spring.  Annie successfully tested for Memory Master.  While we were at school, MG's cat walked through her wet project that she was presenting at the End of Year ceremony on Friday.  Thankfully it was fixed with some White-Out. At Wednesday night church, we played catechism review games with leftover plastic Easter eggs.

 

Soccer

The coach's wife took lots of pictures at the last game of the season and shared them with everyone.  There was a very heavy fog that night.  Ben's friends Reed and Easton came to the game.
