Thanksgiving at the Camp

 Mollie Grace's fish Jewel died Monday before we began our travels for Thanksgiving. We spent Monday night until Thursday lunch in Jena but I don't have any pictures.

 We weren't able to do professional pictures this year, so we did a quick cousin photo shoot before lunch at the camp Friday.

 Nana brought a bucket of craft supplies to the camp that kept the girls busy.  This is Mollie Grace's creation Buttercup.

This is Friday afternoon.  John and Ben got up early Saturday morning for Ben's first early morning hunt.

School Meals

 Last Tuesday, we had our CC Thanksgiving meal.  Mollie Grace and Annie dressed as pilgrims.  The entire group sang the Timeline through week 12 and the states and capitals song.  Annie's class sang our history sentence about the pilgrims.  Mollie Grace sang the skip counting songs for the 3s and 4s.

 For the past 6 weeks we've been working on My Body projects.  Annie is standing beneath her body.

The 4th grade has been studying the missionary Nate Saint.  Rather than a Thanksgiving meal, they had an Ecuadorian Feast last Friday.  I prepared Ecuadorian chicken fried rice.  I got a babysitter for Mollie Grace and Annie so that I could go eat with Ben.

There are no CC pictures this week.  Annie woke up with a stomach bug on Tuesday so we didn't get to go to school.  Mollie Grace had her second horse riding lesson yesterday but I didn't have my camera with me.  It was in my CC bag, which I had sent to school with my sub.

Mollie Grace is ready for Christmas.  She took off her Halloween costume and put on her Christmas pjs.

 Annie took off her Halloween costume and chose this interesting ensemble.  She wears a wild combination of pjs, accessories, and hooded bath towels most every night. 

 Annie put together this awesome puzzle that she got for her birthday.  The puzzle is very neat when you look at it closely.  There are 20 or more fairy tales represented in the scenes.

 Ben has been marble racing lately.  We had such a beautiful day last week that I said everyone had to play outside.  He built his marble run outside, which turned out to be a terrible idea.  It's easy to lose a marble in the grass.  We were on our hands and knees searching for 50 marbles in the grass!
