December is full of activities and parties. We started the month with a Parents' Night Out youth fundraiser. Both Ben and MG participated. Friday night the girls and I watched friends perform in a Christmas musical at The Princess. Saturday was rainy and the girls spent the day decorating for Christmas. Saturday evening we put up our tree. Sunday morning Annie woke up with fever and she and John stayed home from church. Sunday afternoon John got on the roof and hung our outside lights.
On Sunday afternoon we also found a new home for Laya. I posted him on Facebook and someone came a got him. During the past week, he had definitely confirmed he was a rooster, becoming aggressive towards Rebeaka (also a rooster with a girl name) and crowing for hours and hours. Mollie Grace cried when he left and I immediately got on Facebook and found two hens in the area that we could purchase. She now has two Bantam hens named Lacy and Shelby to go along with Henly and Rebeaka.
Tuesday morning Ben woke up with fever, but Annie was better by then. Wednesday Ben stayed home while the girls and I went to the morning CC Foundations Review Day and then MG attended the CC Challenge Christmas party in the afternoon. MG and her friend Kadence were my review game helpers this year since Ben was sick. At the Challenge party they were randomly placed on teams of two to create snowmen from marshmallows. MG ended up with Reed as her partner and they won "Most Creative" with their snow chickens. Wednesday night was our Children's Ministry Christmas party.
Also sometime that week MG learned how to make balloon animals. I think she may be preparing for a career as a clown. She also knows how to juggle.
Funny Random conversation between me and MG as were driving to get the chickens:
MG: There's a whale.
Me: What? Explain.
MG: not the kind from the ocean. The kind you get water from.
Me: That's a well not a whale (spelling the words)
MG: Are they supposed to sound different?
