Santa's Wonderland

Mollie's first visit with Santa. She was not scared of him.

Ben was so excited about seeing Santa. He was in complete awe of him. Thursday morning at breakfast John was preparing Ben to see Santa. John asked, "Have you been a good little boy this year?" Ben said, "Yes." Then John asked, "What do you want for Christmas, little boy?" Ben replied, "Presents!!" John followed up, "What kind of presents?" This was the first time Ben had heard that you can request certain gifts from Santa. He just knew that Santa brought presents. Ben answered, "A kitchen, just like MV and Janey's." John says, "Don't you want a truck?" I add, "Or a guitar?" (knowing that my parents have one for him and it will be under the tree). Ben says, "No, a kitchen like MV and Janey." And that's what he told Santa he wants. Will Santa bring Ben a kitchen? We'll have to wait until Christmas to find out.

Next in line to see Santa.

We visited Santa at Bass Pro Shop Thursday. John took a couple of days off to hunt and we decided to visit Santa during the week so that we wouldn't have to wait in the long weekend line. It sounded like a good plan. We got to Bass Pro Shop at 1:05 p.m. Santa left for his one hour lunch at 1 p.m. John wanted to strangle the elf in a wheel chair that delivered this news. We couldn't leave, though, because we had already told Ben that we were there to see Santa. Thankfully, there were lots of activities set up around Santa's workshop to do while we waited. Ben and John colored for at least half an hour.

Mollie and I watched.

As we watched the train, I spotted Santa coming across the store at a distance. I pointed him out to Ben. Ben took off running towards Santa calling, "Santa, Santa!" I caught him before he reached Santa, but he watched in awe as Santa passed and greeted him.

Same thing happened to us with Santa, he was "feeding the reindeer" when we got there. Cute pictures.

They make a "man kitchen" that looks like a little McDonalds cooking station. Necie
