A Week

Last Monday was Ben's final week of CC for the school year.

 Each class divided into two teams and built "egg protectors" using popcicle sticks, rubber bands, and paper napkins.  There is a real raw egg inside their creation.

 At the end of the day everyone met together to test the egg protectors.  Ben is standing in front of all the kids describing how they built their egg protector and why they think it will protect the egg.  His team went first.

 The older kids climbed the ladder and dropped the egg in it's protector from six feet.

 "Crash!"

 Will the egg be broken???

 No!

 Ben was super excited that their egg didn't break.

Several weeks ago Ben and Mollie dyed Easter eggs at Nana and Grandaddy's house.  They brought some home and hid them outside.  One of the eggs was lost.  After several days, Ben found that egg and decided to adopt it.  He drew a face on it and named it Frag (Fragile).  Well, Frag had a little crack in him and began to STINK.  I told Ben that we were going to have to get rid of Frag.  He got VERY upset so instead we decided that he could build an egg protector for Frag with a focus on keeping the smell contained.  This is Frag's new home and he is still with us.

 One last birthday present from Nana and Grandaddy arrived last week -- a new Bible.

 The Easter bunny has never brought gifts or candy to our house.  We always get candy at the Benton's Easter Egg hunt but it turned out that Ben and Mollie had never had a chocolate rabbit.  The other day we were watching a Veggie Tales Easter movie and Ben asked, "Is there really such a thing as a chocolate bunny?"  They both got chocolate bunnies for treats at the grocery store Friday.

 Baseball Friday night.  It was a make-up game for an earlier rain out and obviously someone was determined they needed to play.  It had rained Friday morning and turned cooler, but they still had a game.

 Ben's pants will never be white again.
