The third weekend of October Ben's team played in a soccer tournament and we celebrated Annie's 8th birthday. The tournament was hard fought. The team unexpectedly won their first game with only one sub. One player was injured so they played their second game that evening with NO subs. At halftime the coach sent the parents a text that the team was exhausted, they needed to hear us cheering. We yelled and cheered until our throats were sore and the boys played their hearts out managing to win the game. Ben and Reed were so excited (and crazy) they pulled their shirts off and ran across the field (getting yellow cards from the ref!). They lost their final game on Sunday and came in runner up in the tournament. It was a busy weekend and it was Sunday night before we were able to celebrate Annie's birthday. She was extremely excited about a new LEGO set from Nana and Grandaddy. Monday Mollie Grace and Annie planned a tea party with their neighborhood friends to celebrate Annie's birthday. MG made mini-chocolate chip bundt cakes. On Wednesday nights at church the kids have been doing projects including painting mini-pumpkins to give to church members to say thank you for the ways they serve. Mrs. Mary helps with the children's choir on Wednesday nights.
