This Week

This was a busy week as usual -- friends, cross country, CC, Homecoming dress up days, and soccer.  Mollie Grace also had a horse riding lesson on Monday but I didn't take any pictures.

 Monday morning two of our homeschool friends spent the morning with us while their mom went to an appointment.  We all did school together, even Marcie.

 Monday evening Ben had a cross country meet at Shelby Farms.  It was much cooler, in the 70s. He ran a 7:44, improving his time from the week before.

 This week was Homecoming at NCS.  Only the seniors dressed up on Monday.  Tuesday's theme was Hollywood vs. Hillbilly.  I tried to talk him into Hillbilly because it was easier.  He was determined to do Hollywood, though.

 Annie's soccer team scrimmaged during practice Tuesday.  She did a good job.

 Annie is playing soccer in a church league so they begin with a devotion and end with prayer.

 Wednesday was decades dress up day.  We went with 80s.  Ben is sporting his Cross Country shorts, soccer socks and the hat we bought for his Donnie Allison costume last spring.

 We were inspired by this pic of John and Jim.

 On Wednesday the girls and I went to see a performance of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

 We got to take pictures with Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy after the show.

 Thursday was color day.  The 5th grade was assigned the color green. We couldn't find a green wig and they weren't allowed to use hair color or face paint so he decided to go with the clown wig.

 Thursday the girls gave Marcie a bath and blow dried her hair.  She ended up with a major part.

 This weekend Ben's team played in a tournament in Jonesboro, AR.  We were short players so we borrowed a couple of little guys (on the left) from the younger team.

The games were at noon and 4:30.  Annie fell asleep during the second game.  This morning John and the girls went to church.  Ben and I along with a teammate who needed a ride went back to Jonesboro for a 9 a.m. game.  We were home in time for lunch.
