January Week 2

Last week we started back at CC; Ben had a field trip; Mollie Grace had horse riding lessons; we did major bedroom cleanings; and, Ben had a soccer game.

 Annie made this Puppy Dog Pals birthday card for Cash.

Mollie Grace made a card for MawMaw Wilma's 82nd birthday.

 Annie told about her new baby doll.  She forgot to bring it with her and was pretty upset.  She plans to bring it this week.

 Ben's class went on a field trip to Slavehaven, a home in Memphis that was part of the Underground Railroad. Because the home is fairly small, they had to be divided into two groups.  While one group toured Slavehaven, the other group completed a scavenger hunt around downtown.

 A tower of 30 pennies.  Below are screenshots from the app Goosechase that we used to complete the Scavenger hunt.  They had tasks worth various amounts of points.  We had to document them completing the tasks by taking pics or videos.  Ben's group was give boys -- Ben, Tyler, Will, Evan, and Gage.  They said they destroyed their dignity to complete these tasks.

 We cleaned out Mollie Grace's closet and made a play area for her American Girl dolls and stable.

January!

January has been de-cluttering, going back to school, and indoor soccer.

 Annie drew these pictures of Ben and me.

I was carrying in all our bags from our New Year's trip to the hunting camp.

 I began the year cleaning out cabinets, closets, and drawers. All of this came out of just my bathroom cabinet.

 For Ben's last day before going back to school, he got his hair cut and then went next door for frozen  yogurt at TCBY.

 Our tree stayed up for the first week of January.

 I cleaned out their bathroom cabinet and found a ton of makeup.

 Still couch shopping.  These are two I really like.

 Geometrocity is a project the 5th grade worked on in math before Christmas.  His teacher put it all together and has it on display in the lobby at school.

Goodbye 2018

We spent the last two days of 2018 at the hunting camp with Nana and Grandaddy.  John, Ben, and Grandaddy hunted.  The girls, Nana, and I played games, sewed, and just hung out. Lots of things were built with dominoes and Magniblox.  Ben was the only one of us that stayed up until midnight.  And then got up at 4:30 a.m. to go hunting.

 This is Blondie.  She is a white deer that Nana and Grandaddy have seen frequently for years.  She walked almost right up to the cabin.

 From the cabin window Monday night, we saw two bucks and five does.  This was the smaller buck.  The larger one didn't get close enough for a good pic.

 John saw Blondie and her family from his stand a different day.

John and Ben were unsure if they would be able to hunt at John's favorite power line stand because the water was rising.

 Annie and I made this sock puppy from a kit she got for Christmas.  Annie spent the entire day in her pjs.  At bedtime, she changed into normal clothes since we didn't pack a second pair of pjs.
