Fractured Wrist

And then the Monday after Easter, Ben got hurt at soccer.  He hit his wrist on another player's shin and fractured his wrist.

Thankfully we were able to get Ben taken care of in time for Annie's dance lesson because they got their costumes.  She has been waiting for this day for months!

Ben was already committed to referee two U6 soccer games Tuesday night.

Easter/Ben's birthday

 

April started out with a super busy weekend -- two Easter eggs hunts, Ben's had a soccer game in Florence, Ben's 13th birthday, and Easter.  We dyed eggs.  John and the girls forced a "last hug as a 12 year old" on Ben.  The girls and I went to a Sunday School egg hunt while John and Ben went to Ben's soccer game.  Ben scored.  In the afternoon we hunted eggs in our neighborhood and then celebrated Ben's birthday in the evening.  Ben got $13 from MawMaw Wilma and PawPaw Sherman.

The rest of March

 

March finished up quietly.  Here are some pics from around the house.   Annie wanted the two of us to match one day.  Mollie Grace has been making dresses for the American Girl dolls.  After making loads of potholders Annie moved on to making hats with a round loom.  This is her first one.  The girls put on a roller skating/roller blade light performance. Ben was supposed to play in a soccer tournament but it was canceled due to impending severe weather.  The storms came through during the night and the sun shone all weekend.  And the last few pics are of Mollie Grace's crazy cat who jumped up on top of the door in my bathroom while I was getting dressed.

March!

We finished up February with a trip to the symphony with friends.  In March, the kids built multiple forts in the playroom and play Fort Town.  Ben is the mayor.  Annie is a teacher and her dolls are all ready for school.  Mollie Grace owns a cafe called Elder Eats.  At CC we made art in the style of Lichtenstein.  We call Mollie Grace's Molliemort because she looks like Voldemort from Harry Potter.  We attended a play at the Princess Theater with our CC group. We visited the Ruckers and Mollie Grace and Lucy Kate are the same height for the first time ever!  After only two weeks of spring practice, Ben's soccer team won first place at the Battle at the Jack.  Mama and Aunt Connie visited and we went to the Rocket Center.  We really enjoyed the presentation at the Planetarium.  Ben's Challenge A class made skin models out of candy.  And the post ends with a couple of random Mollie Grace selfies that I found on my phone.
