Ben was not well at his three-year-old well child appointment with the pediatrician today. It turns out that he DOES have a double ear infection. Now he's taking medicine, too, and he's happy. The doctor prescribed him an antibiotic and ear drops to numb the pain at bedtime.
He had to get a booster shot. I didn't think he would get a immunization today, but there is a newer, better version of one of his vaccinations and the doctors are recommending that anyone who had the older version get a booster. You could tell that the shot hurt and tears welled up in his eyes, but he refused to cry because he wanted to brave. It made me want to cry to watch him. The nurse gave him three stickers and two suckers.
He was 38 1/2 inches tall and weighed 29 pounds. He is 3 1/2 inches taller but only two pounds heavier than last year. He was in the 75th percentile in height and 25th in weight.
